llow me to introduce the former Miss Emelda Brillo Garcines who on April 5, 1997 became Mrs. Emelda Garcines Hollis. She is the daughter of Alipio and Eufemia Garcines of Ozamiz City, in the southern part of The Philippines.

Emelda is a native-born Filipina who currently lives with me in the eastern part of Hollywood. While waiting for her departure for the United States to finally join me, she had been pursuing her college education at Misamis University in Ozamiz. She plans to continue her studies here in America, but hasn't yet decided on a career. Of course, I support her career choices, whatever they may be. I just want her to be happy.

Sometimes, I find it hard to believe that such a wonderful and beautiful woman would marry me. I feel quite blessed. Still, my heart ached while being physically separated from the woman I love. We were thousands of miles away from each other and I could hardly wait for the day that she would be by my side once again and for forever. Now that she is with me, I am happier than I ever thought possible!

(The above photo is my favorite picture of my dear, sweet Emelda. I took this in the front yard of her home during my second visit to Ozamiz City.) To see it full-size, click here. (It may take a few minutes to load). You might also want to read a very special greeting from our friend, "The Hawaiian WebMaster."

The additional photographs shown here were taken by myself and others during my first two trips to her home.

If you'd like to see some photographs from Emelda's youth (ages 6 months-20 years), click here.

After you've taken a look at the different photographs of my beautiful wife, please feel free to read about her in the essay I've written. In the essay, I share my feelings about my bride and I tell you more about her. I've also included some additional photographs from our collection. Salamat!

I have titled this essay, "The Woman Of My Dreams" (an appropriate title indeed). Just click on this title when you're ready to read it.
